3. Public Relations Director
Responsibilities:
Qualified candidate will effectively manage, develop and maintain cohesive Frye Company PR plan, as well as all branded and corporate
division’s and licensor PR relationships. Maximize effectiveness of overall PR strategies; secure and handle editorial appointments for all branded divisions at trade shows. The PR Director must be capable of strategic business planning and execution in the PR arena

Requirements:
Candidate must have minimum of 6-8 years PR experience in the fashion industry with footwear experience a plus. Individuals must have a college degree. Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willing to travel, self motivated, strategic and flexible.

4. Footwear Designer – Frye Division
Reports to : Design Director
Department: Design
Location: NYC Office

Responsibilities:
Participates in field research to identify customer’s expectations; domestic and international travel for trends and direction; online research for design concepts, material and hardware
Manages the design direction and translates market input into innovative designs for the Frye Division
Understands better leathers, materials and finishes
Understands Frye branding and aesthetic
Travels to enhance design trend/ knowledge
Contributes design solutions
Offers creative input for the design teams
Uses knowledge of costing and shoemaking to develop cost efficient product
Demonstrates knowledge of materials, pattern making, and the fitting of footwear
Ability to conceptualize and design footwear line for specific target market
Understand and focus on specific customer and brand
Develops and creates illustrations and technical drawings for new design concepts
Knowledge of materials, patterns, and footwear construction
Responsible for design process from conceptualization to finished product including: sketching, technical specing, development, materials and costing

Qualifications:
Minimum of three to five years experience in footwear design
Must have the ability and experience to hand sketch footwear as well as have expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
Possess a college degree, able to establish relationships with team members (both domestic and globally) factories
Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Travel to Asia and or other parts of the world 4-6 times per year

Here at Jimlar, we value the importance of education and working experience. Together we have created a comprehensive Internship program which allows students in all fields of Business and Fashion studies to gain hands-on experience in their future Careers.

This program has been crafted and designed for Interns to be exposed to and participate in day to day activities. Outstanding performance during this period has gained some students entry level positions at the completion of their program.
